Medigap Medicare Supplement

What is a Medigap Policy?
Medigap plans are offered by private insurance companies. Medigap plans help pay some of the out of pockets costs not paid by Parts A and B. While the plans are offered by private insurance companies they are standardized by the federal government. The plans are identified by letter and will include the same basic benefits nationwide. Medigap policies do not have a set network, you are able to see any doctor who accepts medicare without a referral. Also, medigap policies do not include a Part D plan (prescription drug coverage).
Each carrier can set their own premium so it is important to review quotes from various carriers to ensure you are receiving the most cost effective plan. We at the Schilling Insurance group are contracted with various carriers, which allows us to quote you from several different companies.
